The Talent Show

So as many of you know, my husband is not the shy type. When the MC for his company's talent show bailed out on them, Trent was volunteered to MC. He was really excited because he loves doing stuff like that. They told Trent to go rent a tux. So, to make it more fun, he went and rented the most obnoxious tux he could find. Here is the result. . .

New Addition

She is finally here! After MANY years of waiting, we finally got baby Lauren here. This is baby Lauren, daughter of Ryan and Teri Devey (Trent's brother). I remember Teri trying to get pregnant at the same time I was pregnant with Alivia (who is now 5). What a miracle it is to finally meet her and hold her. We can't believe she is now here. We are so excited for Ryan and Teri to be parents and experience the wonder of having a baby. We are so excited for them to experience a whole new life. This little girl is one special little angel and we already love her to death! Ryan and Teri are the most deserving people to be able to have little Lauren and raise her. They are going to be wonderful parents to her. They deserve all the happiness in the world!

My Baby Girl

My baby girl isn't such a "baby" anymore! On April 18th she turned 5 years old!! WOW! I can remember when she was born and it didn't seem that long ago. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall. For her birthday we had a little princess party with some of her friends from school. Then that night we went to ChuckECheese. She had a great birthday and was sad it was over. I was very excited when it was over. You can only countdown so many days in advance before you go mad! I think we starting counting down the days until her birthday at 45. I'm sad she is growing up but glad also.

Fieldtrip!

For Alivia's preschool, they visited the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Ethan and I tagged along. Ethan thought the dinosaurs were great. He was really excited when we first went in and saw the dinosaur in the lobby. Alivia was excited to show me what a paleontologist was and sang a song about it. They also thought the tunnel with the stars was really cool. If you haven't been there, you will have to go check it out to know what I am talking about. Ethan sat in the stoller for a good part of the time. I let him out to get a better view of some things. The only problem was that he was the perfect size to sneak under the bars and climb on the exhibits. The only part Ethan was a little scared of was the T-Rex, but he was only scared for a second. I thought he would be scared of the shark, but of course he wasn't! Alivia played in the water/sand thing they had. Ethan thought he "might" like it, but when he touched it, it was too much for him.We had a great time checking out the dino's, but we were beat by the end.

Easter

I hope everyone had a great Easter! I finally uploaded my pics to my computer. Our Easter started on Friday when Grandma Sheila colored Easter Eggs with the kids while mom was at work. Then Saturday we went to the Devey Party up at the bowery in Alpine. We had a great time even though it was freezing. We rode the four wheelers around, played horse shoes with bunny horseshoes, and ate hot dogs. We then had an egg hunt in the brush around the bowery. We found eggs, candy, and deer poo! Marilyn thought it would be funny to put a BYU hat on Liv. Trent didn't think that was funny at all! The next day we went to Grandma Sheila's for our first dinner. Liv and mom played baseball, while dad, Ethan, and Casey fixed the flat tire caused by a screw we ran over. Isn't that just great? Spend all this money for cool tires and drive them one day and get a screw in it! Anyway, after that we went to the Alpine house and had our second Easter dinner with the Kearney clan. It was nice to have it at the Alpine house because no one lives there! We also had another Easter egg hunt where I "regifted" some of the eggs from the previous days hunt! The kids had a great time playing with all of their cousins. Trent got to show off his new jeep to everyone, and we all got to see Brandon and Lisa's new baby boy and Teri's "baby belly"! The following day, Liv took our plastic eggs and hid them outside for Abby to find. She wanted to have Easter for a week!

New Things

Well I wanted change and got it! Trent decided he was tired of driving a car around, so he traded in our car and got a new Jeep. We spent about a month shopping for one and changing our minds a million times. We started out wanting just an old Jeep Wrangler. Then we decided we wanted a newer Jeep Wrangler. Then we decided we would just get a brand new Jeep Wrangler. We test drove a few new ones. Then we decided if we went camping, we would not be able to fit anything but a cooler in the back. So we decided to get the four door version which is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It was a much better choice. We then took it to Ultimate 4X4 and got it "pimped" out! I am excited to take the top off and go digging in the mountains! Easter Sunday we drove it to my mom's and let Casey take it for a drive. Trent thought he was just being nice by saying how much he loved it. Come Tuesday night, Shannon and Casey bought a yellow version of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! It was funny! Fun times are to come!!
